Leach Splits 5:05.3 as Girls' 6400m Relay Finishes 4th at Mt. San Antonio Relays

Brighie Leach (15) moved her 4 x 1600m relay squad into 2nd place with a 5:05.3 split for 4 laps at Friday evening's Mt. SAC distance carnival. Sarah Cella (16) set a new personal best, running 5:19.5 on the 3rd leg as the team dipped under 21 minutes to finish 4th overall in the invitational section.

Orders' 3:46.2 Sparks 2nd All-Time DMR Performance; Boys Add 3 Sub 4:40 Splits

After a tough battle off the starting line that forced the junior veteran to chop her stride, fall to the back, and then pass around the outside, Mary Orders (15) churned out three laps in 3:46.2, putting her distance medley relay team into contention at Saturday evening's Mt. SAC Relays.

Sarah Cella (16) and Rachel Johnson (15) added 400m and 800m legs, respectively, before Brighie Leach (15) finished in 5:04.2 for 1600m. The 12:20.18 final time moves the squad to 2nd on the school record list.

The boys' 4x1600m team also enjoyed solid performances as Walter Brennan (14), Ben Weinberg (14) and Kevin Buckley (15) each dropped career best time for 4 laps.
