Travis Rolls to 1600 PR; Wilson Anchors 2nd All-Time Relay at Granada Festival

With a spirited final lap, Mia Travis (20) knocked nearly 10 seconds off her 1600m best to win her heat at Saturday's Distance, Sprint & Throw Festival at Granada High School in Livermore. The junior distance standout was one of several Campolindo athletes to take advantage of the near-perfect conditions in the late-season invitational event.

Also winning a meet t-shirt, Charlie Woidat (19) posted his best performance of the season by finishing 2nd in his 1600m heat.

Maddy Doane (19) once again provided the top mark of the day, blazing to a meet record 56.82 in the 400m. The time was just a half-second shy of the 39-year-old school record held by Alison Adams.

Also moving up the record board, the girls' 400 meter squad of Emily Hatch (22), Doane, Terryal Bell (21), and newly appointed anchor Kyrstin Wilson (22), battled to a runner-up finish behind Dublin High School. The squad's 49.62 clocking is a season best and 2nd on the all-time list.

In the field, Matai Bell (20) moved up to the 12 pound shot to earn 3rd place with a toss of 42 feet, 2 inches.
