FINNY FLIES AT CIF!
Cougar Top Guns Land Podium Spots, Kochlacs Fastest NCS Finisher of the Day

Streaking through the final stretch at Woodward Park to complete his impressive performance at Saturday's State Championships, Joey Kochlacs (07) edged out Matt Snider of St. Ignatius to earn a spot on the medal stand. His tenth place finish topped all NCS competitors in the race, and his time of 15:50 for the 5k course was also a section best!

Bolstered by another strong performance from Robert Pulford (09), the boys' squad improved one spot over their 2005 finish to end the season as the #5 team in California.

Not to be outdone, Laurie Finnegan (08) surged through the second mile of the girls' Division III race, leading a breakaway pack of the state's finest harriers. The risk paid off with a sixth place finish, and the fourth fastest time of the day for an NCS competitor!
