Season Bests from Rosenthal, Pulford Churn Out Top NCS Finish at Stanford

Shedding 52 seconds off her 2006 Stanford Invitational performance, Lisa Rosenthal (09) finished third for the team and 27th overall at Saturday's race on the farm to help the Cougars reclaim their status as the section's premier D3 program.

In addition to burrying their nearest NCS rivals, the Varsity girls managed to narrow the gap on state powers Orange Lutheran, Oak Park and Corona Del Mar with inspired efforts from Christine Pulford (08) and Emily Brennan (10).

Paced again by Rachel Faoro (11), the Junior Varsity squad finished seventh out of 24, two spots behind Maria Carrillo on the 3k course.

The exciting day was capped by strong performances from Campolindo alumni Riki Giacchetti (07), Joey Kochlacs (07), Marie Casabonne (06) and Vera Ross (04) in the college 4k and 6k races!
