Fog Keeps Temperatures Cool for Point Reyes Trail Run; Sun Heats up Tomales Bay

This year's summer climax enjoyed perfect running conditions as a hoard of harriers crested the summit of Mt. Wittenberg before descending through a misty paradise of moss covered trees and damp trails. The longest group made it down to the coastal trail before returning through Bear Valley.

After the run athletes and parents stopped in Point Reyes Station for supplies, then headed up the road to Heart's Desire Beach on Tomales Bay. Water temperature was warmer than past years as the fog lifted to reveal blue skies.

The day was concluded with a team meeting amongst the lush vegetation overlooking the bay.
