Sun, Harland-Dunaway Move up Record Board in Windy Conditions at Dublin

After following her teammate through three laps of the 1600m, Hana Sun (16) took the lead in spite of the persistent, swirling wind blasting through the Dublin stadium at Wednesday's final DFAL regular season meet.

Sun closed her last 400m in 75 seconds, finishing along side Brighie Leach (15), who inched ahead at the line. Sun's 5:10.78 is now 12th on the All-Time list and makes her a favorite to qualify for the North Coast Tri-Valley Championships in the event.

Marcus Harland-Dunaway (14) remained unbeaten in league competition in the 110 hurdles, clocking a new personal best of 15.37, which pushes him to 7th in school history. Dunaway also won the 300 hurdles, helping his varsity squad to a victory over Dougherty Valley as the Cougars finished the dual meet season with a record of 5-1.

All four squads earned victories, including the frosh soph boys', bolstered by a strong showing by Mohammad Movahedi (14) and Kai Weyland (17) in the pole vault. Weyland also increased his long jump mark to 17-0.25 while Aaron Lin (17) and Matt McAuliffe (17) improved in the 1600m to 5:16.

Julian Haresco (16) and Matt Farne (17) added feet to their discus bests.

Lauren Williams (17) helped the frosh soph girls stay undefeated with new bests in both horizontal jumps and solid sprint performances. Mackenzie Brown (17) dominated the discus and Jamie Brown won high jump to demonstrate the squads' balanced attack.
