Dipsea Trail Run & Beach Trip
Stinson Beach Offers Sunshine after Damp Dipsea Trails The 2013 edition of the summer favorite was the first time in years that the athletes were welcomed by blue skies and warm temperatures by mid-day on Stinson Beach. The adventure started in the cool and fog at Old Mill Park in Mill Valley. About 25 Campolindo harriers made the trek over the historic Dipsea trail to the beach. Along the seven mile trail, runners enjoyed rainforest conditions, as well as long climbs and plenty of steps. After the run, parents prepared burgers, hotdogs and other beach BBQ fare. Volleyball, rock climbing, and ice bathing in the frigid Pacific waters occupied most for the remainder of the day. |
