Frosh Soph Girls Top Loaded ESI Field while Ehrhorn Claims Varsity Boys' Title

Led by a 3rd-place finish from sophomore Jillian Randolph (28), the frosh soph girls managed to hold off a strong Granada squad to earn a divisional champion's plaque at the 40th edition of the Ed Sias Invitational on Saturday, September 13, in Hidden Valley Park.

Racing on the 2.0-mile course, Randolph held the lead early before crossing the line in 13:07, the fastest clocking of the day for Campolindo. With excellent debut performances from Adeline Travis (29) and Rana Beeson (28), who finished 14th and 15th, respectively, the young squad provided the team highlight of the day.

The boys' competition featured an individual win for Caden Ehrhorn (28), who surged away late in the varsity boys' race to earn a 25-second improvement on the course. Carter Cook (27) and Jack Durden (27) also set new personal bests to help the varsity post the 3rd-fastest team time in school history on the course.

Each junior varsity squad claimed team medals with 3rd place finishes. Drew Shogan (27) and Taejin Chung (26) snagged Running Warehouse gift cards for their top-10 finishes in the JV boys' division.

The most improved boys' performance came from Tianyang Zhang (29), who knocked an astounding 69 seconds off his mark from the previous week, while the girls' biggest gain came from Shriya Lind (28), who lowered her best by a staggering 3 minutes and 56 seconds.
