February 24, 2017 With marks among the top 10 in every event, rookie senior Melissa Wilson (17) nearly pulled off an improbable upset at Friday's annual event testing. Her 23 points was 2nd only to 4-year varsity senior Juliet Arnswald (17), whose all-around talent won the day with a single digit point total. Wilson was 2nd to Arnswald in the 300m sprint and one of only 6 girls to crack the 50 second mark. The gifted soccer standout was also runner-up to Arnswald in the long jump and managed a top-10 shot put heave before holding on to win the rookie division with a solid sub-5 minute finish in the 1200m event. On the boys' side, Niki Moore (17) crushed the 4-event challenge with top marks in the 300m sprint and the 1200m run, a runner up finish in the shot put, and a 3rd place in long jump. His miniscule 7 points is a record for the event testing event. Brandon Manty (20) claimed the boys' top newcomer mark. His 300m time was among the top 5 overall. Team
